Thanks Books (Margaret, Doug C), Moderators (Jim, Gregg, Doug S, John O) and active Forum posters (Nick, Loni, Ken, Tony)! Summary; we Focused much time on the first and fundamental question; Identified some most critical issues;
- low participation in Forum
- Strongly held differences between the Branches climbing curriculum and techniques
- some Freedom 8 issue
Some key schedule milestones are
- recruit and select head honcho(s) 9~12/2014,
- recruit section heads and authors 1~3/2015,
- Forum consensus ready for section heads
- Section heads and writers Kickoff meeting 5/2015
We discussed and agreed to a number of actions. We plan to focus on these one at a time (maybe one a week with reminders admin). Candidate actions. - [ 4/13 ] share Basic Climbing handbooks and "Grade Cards"
Bellingham, Everett, Seattle, Tacoma - [ 4/27 ] inventory important Books and Links with Summaries.
at top of Forums (& maybe in accessible Google Folder?) - [ 5/4 ] each person ask 5 respected climbing partners to comment on specific posts.
- [ 5/11 ] start doing some polls on the Forum
[ Yore ] - set up and test polling capability of our Forum [ All ] - suggest candidate polls - [ 4/20 ] update current Forum Moderators (+Doug, etc.) and Website
- [ 4/20 ] explore security/registration and provisional post options on the Forum [ Yore ]
- [ 4/20 ] Clean up and get first and last names on the Forum [ Yore ]
- [ 9/7 ] Schedule next meeting in early November [ Yore ]
