The photo shows a mini-Purcell prusik. It is rigged with a Fifi hook to make an adjustable Fifi, which has uses in aid climbing, sport climbing (as a "dogging draw") and ice climbing (as an adjustable way to clip into the spike on your ice tool for a rest on lead). The hook can be replaced with a small locking carabiner (keylocks are best). The joining knot is a double T fisherman. An ordinary fisherman or Flemish bend works just as well. Girth hitch to your belay loop or through the loops that hold your belay loop. Attachments:
