First Aid Kit
Have never seen the likes of the first aid kit described in Chapter 23 carried by a climber. Suggest it be simplified. To get the ball rolling here are some ideas:
Assumption: basic/intermediate climb, have first aid skills, less than 1-2 days from help, have other items that can be improvised into slings, etc.
*Dressings *Quikclot Dressing *Tape *OTC: Anti-inflammatory, painkiller, anti-diarrheal, allergy medications *Gloves
Optional: Needle, tweezers, superglue, elastic/compression/roller bandage, antiseptic, butterfly dressings, blister prevention and care, and chemical heating pads (winter.)

I would add a small role of duct tape and several square feet of Saran Wrap (or similar product). I carry both in my chalk bag's zip pocket along with a few small bandages, steri-strips, antibiotic foil packet, tiny knife and tiny headlamp).
